The marriage of Mamta Meghvanshi of Bagore town was fixed with Prakash Chand of Murlia village of Kotdi subdivision, then Mamta’s father Uday Lal Meghvanshi got the marriage done without any ceremony on the day of Ambedkar Jayanti. The bride and groom came on the stage and garlanded each other while taking the oath of Babasaheb’s ideals. In this marriage neither Toran was installed nor seven rounds were taken. The groom’s father Ramchandra Balai is working in the Government Secretariat in Jaipur.
Meghvanshi said, “I read the Indian Constitution and being inspired by Dr. Ambedkar’s social reform work, we both want to give a new message to the society together. Breaking all the traditions with mutual consent, we got the marriage done without dowry, without any religious rituals. Others should also be inspired by this.
